Popped and poured. Light ruby red color and nose that is brimming with raspberry and dried herbs. Pure elegance on the palate with lovely raspberry, red currant, dried thyme, rosemary, and lavender. Finish goes on and on. Keeps getting better and more effusive with air, while being more tightly wound right out of the bottle. It could use some decanting. This is a wine that is all about its place/terroir and will not overwhelm with its fruit. Despite its light appearance, it packs the proverbial iron fist in a velvet glove. I adore this wine and am a huge fan who will seek out past and future vintages. Old-world fans rejoice…this is a wine that I consider a must-try for you. I can’t speak highly enough of this unique wine.
We actually stopped at this chateau on our way from the Cote D’Azur to the Rhone Valley two weeks ago (it’s just East of Aix-en-Provence), but they do not taste their wine, nor do they accept credit or bank cards. The grounds are stunningly beautiful though.

Doug.>>Looks like 03 is completely sold out in the US and the 04 is what’s currently available, but only in sparse quantities. This is a wine with a fairly small production and a cult following (including myself), so this is going to be tough to source. Looking in Europe may be easier. Also, I would consider contacting the Chateau.>>Sorry I don’t have any better news.

The 2007 White Chateaus Simone Palette is also excellent. It's mostly a grape called Clairette. Clean and crisp, with a long finish even though it's not malolactic. A great food wine.
