Opened this last night because I felt like something with a bit more fruit. And I was mistaken. After popping and pouring, this was a viciously tannic wine that was incredibly tight and completely closed up. Hard as nails on the finish. Tonight, after an extra day or cellartime in its bottle, nothing much has changed. On the one hand, I am thinking this will turn out great in 5-10 years, on the other, I wonder if the strong tannins will ever tame enough to make this wine harmonic. I guess only time can tell.
