Very nice wine. Still remarkably youthful for a wine of this age. Deep, dark plum red color. Nice nose of kirsch and dried herbs. Shows surprisingly plush cherry and garrigue on the palate with some leather and earth. Solid Finish. I wouldn’t call this wine exciting, but it was a great buy at $25 on closeout. 3,300 cases made. A blend of 90% Grenache and the rest Counoise, Mourvedre, Syrah, and Cinsault.
