Amazing value. And a fantastic wine regardless of its price. Cherry and black currants in spades with chocolate, earth, dried herbs, and tobacco. Superb finish. Despite being aged in a combination of medium sized oak barrels and small oak barriques, there are zero obtrusive oak flavors. Wonderful silky/velvety texture and there’s even some nice structure underneath the fruit. Drinking great right now, but should last for quite some time. Purchased in Austin at Costco for $20/bottle. At that price, buying this wine almost feels like robbery. A wine to purchase by the case.
